Looking for a new place to paint in the public in 2020, the On S
ite Art program moved to the Island Roots Market every Wed. from Jan.- March, when lockdowns began due to COVID-19.
The program is open to anyone interested in painting in public spaces and open to the possibility of conversation with the public, while they work. Artists bring their own artmaking projects and materials. The host of the original group is Diane Rae. While this is not a class, it is a group that shares art info and interested n experimenting with new concepts and styles. There is no competition with other local art groups because some of the participants belong to a number of arts organizations.
